Challenge # 9 at Poisoned Peas Please!

Hi everyone!!!
Welcome to our new challenge at Poisoned Peas Please, an alternative art challenge blog.
The theme for the ninth challenge is :
The Walking Dead!
It is all about looking at that other side of the fairy tale, that side that's for grown up, might be darker, funnier, sexier, you decide! I'm sure we each have a different way of looking at this theme, and thats the fun part, be creative and feel free to express your artistic ideas.
You can use any image for this challenge and we would LOVE to see all types of creations (ex. cards, scrap layouts, fat book pages, artist trading cards, tags, boxes, bags, 3D ~ Altered Art or any other crafting projects that have some form of paper on them). This is a month long challenge.
Here is my offering:

We have an amazing artist sponsoring this challenge and he has plenty of yummy digis for this challenge in his Etsy shop. Our sponsor is none other than the very talented Rick St. Dennis MFA. And his prize is two digis of your choice.
I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Happy Creepmas!!!!

I have to admit that time is moving so fast, it is kind of scary.
Christmas is almost her, stores are filled with ornaments and decorations, and everything is so traditional.
I am not saying it is boring, I love traditional, but sometimes have more fun with the non traditional things.
Since I have lots of problems finding the non traditional decorations and centerpieces, I will be making some of them myself.
When I saw the new image by Teri, owner and designer of Delicious Doodles, I knew what to create, an altered puzzle for my coffee table.
Here it is:

The image is called Skully Santa, don't you just love him!
the image was colored with Copics and Prisma color pencils. Cutting the pieces was kind of tricky because my hands are hurting a lot, but it was so much fun to see everything come together.
To finish it up I used Vintage Photo distress ink and made the borders a little darker, it creates some interests and contrast to the piece. The frame was painted with red acrylic paint and it was also distressed.
This piece measures 8 inches by 11 inches (20.32 centimeters by 27.94 centimeters).
