Poe-Etic Hop!

I can't believe the day has finally arrived!
Every month we, at the Smeared and Smudged Forum have a members blog hop.
If you have hopped over from Black Dragon, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by and would like to join our hop from the beginning, please go to Terra  and follow along.
Each designer along the way is featuring a themed project, be sure to visit all the stops and leave a comment
This month the theme is:
Poe-Etic
We're celebrating the great Edgar Allan Poe this month.
We have to create something using one of his poems!
Oh my, I could not make up my mind, then finally decided to create using El Dorado as inspiration:
El Dorado
Gaily bedight,
A gallant night
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of El Dorado.

But he grew old --
This knight so bold --
And -- o'er his heart a shadow
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That looked like El Dorado.

And, as his strength
Failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow --
"Shadow," said he,
"Where can it be --
This land of El Dorado?"

"Over the Mountains
Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,"
The shade replied --
"If you seek for El Dorado."
Here is my creation:
I made a mixed media canvas.
Created a base for my work using pages of an old book, Mod Podge  and some gesso.  Added some color with distress inks ( Broken China, Barn Door).
I then distress a piece of tissue paper (Barn Door and Mustard Seed) and printed the El Dorado Map. Used Mod Podge to adhere to canvas. Added some details using Punchinella and Acrylic paints ( Red, Black and Gold).
The image is from Smeared Ink and it's called Masked - As Death, love the gold mask.
Added a golden (dorado) skull die cut to mark the El Dorado location on map.
Your next stop is Jane.
Here is the line up in case you get lost:
