31 Days of Halloween 2013: Day 20 with Domino Art

Day 20 of 31 Days of Halloween is here!!!If you came from Carla's blog, then you are on the right track; if not, then please visit Terra's Blog and enjoy the hop.
I am also part of Domino Art's 31 Days of Halloween Celebration.
Today's project is a set of rings with altered Scrabble tiles, featuring images from Rick St. Dennis.

Ring 1
Ring 2
Ring 3
Ring 4
Ring 5
The supplies used:

  • Scrabble tiles
  • Golden Paint: Carbon Black
  • Ranger's Glossy Accent
  • E6000 adhesive
  • Ring Blanks

Images by Rick St. Dennis; Viktor Visage, Angry Annie and Bubble Bubble, Toil and Trouble
The process is really simple:
  • Color each tile with Golden Acrylic Paint (Carbon Black)
  • Color and scan images.
  • Re-size image as desired and print. I used part of the face just to create interest.
  • Adhere image to Scrabble tile using Glossy Accents.
  • Cover the surface of the paper with Glossy Accents, this seals the paper and protects our work.
  • Once it is dry you can adhere to the ring blank using an industrial strength adhesive resistant to water, I like to use E-6000. Allow to dry completely (I usually wait 48 hours before wearing mine).
Enjoy your new rings, just imagine the possibilities!
I have some news, I will giveaway some of the projects that I design for this event and rings #3, 4 and 5 will be part of the giveaway . Just leave a comment and I'll choose the winners on October 31st.
Now hop over to Steph's blog, she has something special for you.
I would like to enter this project in the following challenges:

Thanks!
Love,
Julia

  6. Amazing!!!! Love your coloring! The colors really pop off the rings! Thanks for the tut! Thank you so much for doing a giveaway, and I would love to have one, but please don't put my name in. I can't wear jewelry, I'm allergic. They should go to someone who can wear them.
