Christmas is almost her, stores are filled with ornaments and decorations, and everything is so traditional.
I am not saying it is boring, I love traditional, but sometimes have more fun with the non traditional things.
Since I have lots of problems finding the non traditional decorations and centerpieces, I will be making some of them myself.
When I saw the new image by Teri, owner and designer of Delicious Doodles, I knew what to create, an altered puzzle for my coffee table.
Here it is:
the image was colored with Copics and Prisma color pencils. Cutting the pieces was kind of tricky because my hands are hurting a lot, but it was so much fun to see everything come together.
To finish it up I used Vintage Photo distress ink and made the borders a little darker, it creates some interests and contrast to the piece. The frame was painted with red acrylic paint and it was also distressed.
This piece measures 8 inches by 11 inches (20.32 centimeters by 27.94 centimeters).
I would like to enter this project in the following challenges:
Thanks!
