You Complete Me!

Texture!!!!
Some times it's hard to add texture to a card, or project, but I can tell you all it was so much fun.
I used distress inks and embossing powder to create a rusted like background, it has this tiny bumps and a coarse feeling all over.
Some stitches were added to the sentiment, for added texture.
To finish this card I used some buttons.

Altered Art!

I have been intimidated by the idea of sharing any project that involves altering items. I love working on them and most of the times I give them away as presents, it is a great way to reuse something.
I have a lot of CD's that are not getting any use, and of course this is what I altered into a wall hanging.
Here is my creation:

Angels and Demons...

Hi everyone!
Here to share a page from my art journal, featuring an image by Ikesart.

The background was created with water soluble oil pastels. I also use a stamp set from ippity called Now and Always, for the border. Added some stickles to the wings.

First post!

Hi everyone!
Wow, my first post, it has been a long process to get here.
Did you notice the name of my blog: Me and Myself on the Dark…?
Aren't you curious, not even a little bit?
I have been searching for something special that could complete me, that something that would help me understand the nature of the duality that duels in each and every person.
Some call it good and evil, others talk about angels and demons, I prefer calling it me and myself, in that continuous search for growth as a spiritual being.
I begin this blog in hopes that I find the freedom of expressing myself without the fear of being judged.
Hope you’ll join me in this journey!
Hugs,
Julia
